New Features

• Random Generator (Dice): Added a dedicated Random button next to Generate. With a single click Genesis now randomizes Root Note, Scale, Pattern Type, Pattern Length, Density, Complexity, Humanize, Velocity Variation, Note Length, and Octave Range — then instantly generates a new pattern. Perfect for fast inspiration and exploration.

Improvements

• Welcome Screen Redesign: Completely refreshed About / Welcome screen with premium card-style links, improved hover states, better typography, cleaner visual hierarchy, more compact layout, and improved accessibility. New layout includes ABYZOR Website, YouTube, GitHub, Instagram, and KVR Audio. The old Beacons link has been removed.
• Improved Toolbar Icons: Custom-designed icons for STOP (stop-square), METRO (metronome), SEEDS (seed icon), and RANDOM (dice icon) for improved clarity and UI consistency.
• Piano Roll — Manual Edit Protection: Genesis now protects custom edits made inside the piano roll. When a pattern is edited manually, automatic regeneration is disabled, parameter changes no longer overwrite edits, the seed display changes to CUSTOM, and a warning banner explains the current state. Using Generate or Mutate restores normal generation behavior.
• Piano Roll — Note Overlap Prevention: Overlapping notes on the same pitch are automatically rejected to keep patterns clean and readable.
• Piano Roll — Live Preview Updates: Edits made in the piano roll are reflected immediately while preview playback is running — no restart required.
• Host Synchronization: Playback timing significantly improved to stay in sync with the DAW transport. More accurate host tempo tracking, improved loop handling, automatic note-off protection, playhead jump detection, more reliable playback timing, and better transport synchronization.
• Preview Engine: Sample-accurate looping, improved BPM tracking, better voice allocation, real-time pattern replacement during playback, improved thread safety, and reduced playback interruptions. Preview playback no longer stops when generating a new pattern.
• Metronome Rework: Completely reworked metronome system with sample-accurate timing, host and preview synchronization, improved click generation, better transport alignment, and more consistent playback in both standalone and DAW workflows.
• Generation Quality — Chord Overlap Fix: Chord durations are now automatically clipped to avoid overlapping harmonic events for cleaner chord progressions and improved harmonic clarity.
• Generation Quality — Melodic Gravity: Large melodic jumps are automatically pulled toward the center of the scale for more natural melodic movement and better note flow.
• Generation Quality — Pitch Variety: Motif-based generation now guarantees greater melodic variation, particularly noticeable in Techno-oriented patterns where repeated-note sequences could become overly static.
• Seeds Workflow: Improved tooltip text and direct access to the Genesis Seeds page.

Seed System Improvements

• Mutate Behavior: Fixed an issue where MUTATE generated a new pattern but did not update the displayed seed. MUTATE now generates and displays a new reproducible seed.
• Custom Pattern Detection: Manual MIDI edits now automatically switch the pattern into CUSTOM mode, clearly distinguishing generated content from manually edited content.
• Project Persistence: CUSTOM pattern state is now preserved when saving and reopening DAW projects.
